Topic: Using External .org Domain with SSL Certificate Enabled

FernandoDC free asked 1 year ago

Expected behavior When using external domains with MDB Go and SSL Certificate Enabled, I expect that the Site will be secured and available at https://happypools.org as specified by the mdb published terminal message.

Actual behavior When the SSL Certificate usage is Enabled, the published project is not made available at the URL provided. However, is accessible at the Unsecured URL http://happypools.org

Have you followed all of the steps described here? https://mdbgo.com/docs/custom-domains/external-domains/#domain

I'm asking specifically about the DNS settings (record A in your case).

Also, it may take a few minutes to generate the certificate and to make it work securely.

I have configured the DNS settings (record A) to reflect 193.70.113.197 per the instructions provided (See image below)

enter image description here

Not only is the site not secure, I can no longer access the site at all, when using this value for the A record.

When I check your DNS record A here: https://dnschecker.org/#A/happypools.org, I don't see any setting. There must be some issue with your domain name provider. Please try contacting them for help regarding setting the DNS zone.
