Topic: JavaScript usage of Sidenav in MVC hybrid application
thoiness priority asked 6 months ago
Expected behavior
When refreshing, the interface should remain seamless without any animation.
Actual behavior
Depending on which you favor, one version of the interface (either mobile or desktop) will have an animation for the sidebar on each new page/refresh. On mobile it will close, or on desktop it will expand, depending on which you favor. This is jarring for the user experience.
I believe I can mitigate this by doing some overriding CSS with some JavaScript, but this is inherently an issue out of the box, when the product is not 100% an SPA. I'm checking to see if anyone has a solution that I have overlooked, but based on all examples and samples, this appears to be an issue across the board.
