Its obvious that those of us that are using MDB 4 in production environments (ours is medical) that we are pretty much screwed because it would be a major effort to migrate to MDB 5. I suppose this is the risk developers always take when adopting a framework from small companies.

As we wrote here: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/standard/getting-started/migration/ MDB 5 was written from scratch. Therefore, we recommend that you create your project from scratch in MDB5. A lot of changes have taken place in the code. Updating the Bootstrap version to v5 forced us to change the syntax of some components. Some of the changes have been included in the link I sent above. Unfortunately, there are so many changes that we are not able to list all of them.
