Topic: Has anyone created sliding side panel (sheets) with MDB?
vnagornyy priority asked 3 years ago
I'm not sure if the sliding side panel is the proper name for this, but I believe it's side sheets component of Material Design (based on my review of Google's source code in their products, classes refer to it as "sheets"). Google uses them extensively in its products like Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics.
Here's a quick GIF of the sliding panel I'm referring to, I couldn't upload GIF so it's a link: https://imgur.com/jj7Dkdc
Before I work on this and build something custom, I wanted to see if anyone created this before with MDB or maybe I missed it somewhere on the website. I did not see sheets, only side navigation. I'm thinking of trying to re-purpose sidenav for this, but wanted to ask first.
Thanks.

As you noticed with us it is sidenav. It can be used for this purpose. The second way is to use offcanvas which was recently added to Bootstrap. Here is the documentation for this component: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/standard/extended/offcanvas/

Thanks @Grzegorz Bujański, Offcanvas is exactly what I need. This is the first time I'm working with v5, and there's a lot of new stuff compared to 4 and especially 3.
