Topic: Datepicker not friendly when typing in date

*Expected behavior*When adding in the default date picker for MDB, it is not very friendly for a user who wants to type in their date. With the basic HTML date picker, you get this nice tab highlight through the date day/month/year and it keeps the format while typing "MM/DD/YYYY": https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/input/date

Actual behavior Typing in a date in the MDB date picker does not keep format or allow user to tab through and enter in the day/month/year individually.

I tried adding the type="date" to the input but that caused some problems. Is there a way to have the type friendliness of the HTML date picker with the nice UI of the MDB date picker for those that like to select their dates? Trying to make this a nice experience for screen reader users.

Resources (screenshots, code snippets etc.)

Example of adding the type="date" to the MDB date picker:

    <div class="form-outline" data-mdb-datepicker-init data-mdb-input-init>
          <input type="date" class="form-control" id="exampleDatepicker11" />
          <label for="exampleDatepicker11" class="form-label">Select a date</label>
    </div>

I am also having a hard time navigating the date picker with the NVDA and JAWS screen readers. Is the MDB date pickers accessible to screen readers? Am I just not understanding how these screen readers work? Or is this a known issue?

Since depending on country date format is different we do not force date format in the input field. So we do not have functionality you ask as of now.
