Topic: Add structured hierarchy to the Drag & Drop plugin
fosterwebmarketing priority asked 1 year ago
Expected behavior
Summary: A hierarchy option that would allow the items to be sorted in such a way that they represent a "parent > child" relationship to an adjustable (potentially unlimited) depth.
Considerations:
- Each new "child" level could be represented with increasing left margins.
- A "collapse" and "expand" button (with icon) on each "parent" to hide or show its children.
- Related events and methods that trigger on change or compile a JSON object of the ordered structure.
- Customizable data- attributes whose values are picked up and included in the compiled JSON object.
Actual behavior
The Drag & Drop plugin does not have a structured relationship option.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. We will consider adding such option to the drag&drop plugin, or maybe adding drag&drop feature to the treeview plugin.
