Topic: MDB react pro Side Menu: SideMenuItem
LRuan free asked 6 years ago
Hi,
I am trying to implement the SideNav in my application and I am trying to add a non-collapsing side nav menu like the one in the library home page (see attached picture). But I don't see that component anywhere because the <SideNavItem/> component doesn't accept icons as a prop (according to the source code). Please advise.
Another question is, do I have to customize the active css nav item myself? It seems that the <SideNavItem/> doesn't take a prop called "active".
Thanks

You can also use: "<SideNavItem href="/test-menu"><Fa icon="circle"/>Test Menu</SideNavItem>" instead.Mikołaj Smoleński staff answered 6 years ago

Hi Mikolaj, I am using Pro version under my company's account. I have access to the private GitLab repository. I have already sent you an email with the Order Number and an email that proves I have access to the MDB Pro Components. Referencing back to my original post, This is the component I am working with: https://imgur.com/qfSJrym I am checking the PropTypes for SideMenuItem from the PRO component. As you can see, it does't accept a prop called "icon" like the SideNavCat component. https://imgur.com/6HYbl4F This is how the side menu looks like with the code: https://imgur.com/0gYuf4M Can you please advise? I wanted to make sure that non-caret side menu item (with icon) is actually is not in the PRO/free component or that I am missing something here? ThanksClosed
