Topic: Extending React WYSIWYG Editor
contentpepper free asked 4 years ago
We need a way to configure and extend the used wysiwyg editor.
This includes the possibility to have additional buttons with custom behaviour.
A) upload images (or other assets) from the local hard drive
B) add configured html fragments, e.g. like a
quote
C) add complex html fragments. E.g. the button might trigger a custom form in a modal that you can use to search for existing assets (like images, or other content). You may add items and they'll be rendered (and e.g. movable, changeable, etc.) in the wysiwyg preview.
Is there any option to extend the React WYSIWYG Editor to accomplish these things?
Since I didn't find documentation for these, I thought, I'd at least ask about plans for extensions like these.

Hi @contentpepper,
I think it's not possible to add some custom features by the user to the WYSIWIG plugin. I can add your suggestions to our feature request list, but I can't promise that we provide it because we need to discuss it, and check that the other users need this feature too.
Can you tell me how important is these features for you?
Best, Kuba
