Maybe this will help if it wasn't your table-editor and assuming you are using jquery version. When I get errors like that one it usually means I forgot or mis-typed the javascript initialize plugin script. For the side nav in 4.7.5 running side nav under top nav bar (last option on the navigation composition page [https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/jquery/navigation/compositions/} ) side nav works for me. I can recreate that error if I comment out the initialize code in the html file or Ioad the javascript libraries in the wrong order (query...popper..bootstrap...mdb).
