Topic: Tables header - sort icon jumps vertically in IE11 & Edge. Chrome works.
shadsnz free asked 5 years ago
Expected behavior Sort icons should remain in the same position in the header cell after sorting.
Actual behavior When sorting contents of a table by clicking the heading, the sort icons "jump" vertically up and down. Occurs only in IE11 and Edge (Chrome & FF works as expected).
Only an issue when the heading has multiple lines of text (wrapped).

Noted re Internet explorer. Thank you for those support details. However, we see the same problem under MS Edge which I understand is supported. Here's a snapshot from the examples at https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/jquery/tables/datatables/ showing the same problem.

Hi,
as you can read in our official statement of supported browsers and devices, we do not support IE.
https://mdbootstrap.com/general/browsers-and-devices/
We are doing our best to ensure compatibility with older browsers, however, due to technical limitations, it's not always possible. IE11 is almost 6 years old and doesn't support many crucial features like flexbox.
If we decided to fully support old browsers, we would neglect the development and improvement of our products
Best Regards, Marta
