Topic: Issue with 'Bootstrap Select' (mdb-select) on mobiles: closes instead of scrolls
On Chrome / Android (possibly on other platforms too), where there is a long list to choose from , which has the 'mdb-select' class applied, when you try to scroll the list up to see the lower down options (which are currently below the bottom of the screen) - the menu just closes and you cannot select them.This is a huge usability issue.Here is a sample of what i mean: https://youtu.be/XvV-vADTAZo
i assume that when in mobile mode (or anytime, i guess), the menu should calculate how much space is available till the end of the page and not open beyond that, and to allow inner-scrolling, without closing the menu on-touch to inner-scroll.

Thanks - its actually a HUGE issue - one cannot make selections at all. Using 4.7.4

I've the same problem, already updated to 4.7.6 but select closes instead of scrolling.

@Piotr Glejzer 4.7.5 has another issue = select dropdown requires two clicks to open. Please solve this because I'm desperate trying to get this to work properly for a client with a live website (using 4.7.6).

we know about these bugs. These bugs from Chrome version 73. There is a problem with regression with events. See this :

This is not our fault that is not working properly for now. We try to fix this.

Is not only Chrome v.73. I've tried and get the same behavior of the select component with lot of options (example: https://veran.xuventudevigo.org/nenosSeleccionar.php) in mobiles that i use for tests with Chrome 45 and Samsung browser 9.

Thanks. I just want to stress how critical this is - selections cannot be made for long drop downs! It works once out of 10 times maybe ...

I checked the mobile version on my Android 8+ ( Honor ) with Chrome 73.0.3683.90 and I don't have this problem.. What version of android do you use?

also - what version do you have? and before hand , you confirmed that this is indeed a bug and will be fixed. so has it been fixed?

I didn't check the username and I thought that josefranco was responded. But this bug is fixed. I have no problem with scroll long content on mobile with Android 8.0.0 + Chrome 73 version.

Sorry It was me. I tried the new version 4.7.7 with the same result, but then I made the selection in private mode and finally I could choose all the options. Then I deleted the comment.
