Topic: Horizontal Stepper

digitalmanagerguru free asked 5 years ago

I saw that the horizontal stepper becomes vertical in mobile. Do you've already a solution for a horizontal stepper for both desktop and mobile?

Just wondering if that's the expected behavior?

Best Regards

Ok, fair enough. Just wondering the decision. I'll rewrite on my own, since its possible to be horizontal and still have a better UX even. And editing the original scss doesnt seem to me the best choice. I would instead overwrite the classes with a separated custom css.

And I will still recommend to let that decision to the user, so it would be great in the future to have a stepper that keeps always horizontal. I was expecting that. And then it would be easier to make it as your client want. As it is now I'll need to create from scratch a stepper solution. Or use a bootstrap solution, probably what I'll stick with.

Thanks for the quick reply

Hi digitalmanagerguru,

This is our expected behaviour because we thought that making horizontal stepper indicators this small would make UX worse. However, You can make it horizontal on all device sizes.

Change min-width value in our mdb _steppers.scss media query @media only screen and (min-width: 993px) {...} to a desired value.

If you need additional help I am here for you.

Best Regards, Piotr
