Topic: Dynamic menu in wordpress

bas2255 pro asked 6 years ago

I have been able to follow your wordpress tutorial, thank you for that. I only now have a question regarding to the menu section. Here you have created a static menu, but I would like to have it dynamic, so when I add page's that thay are showt in the menu. I can do that with <? php wp_nav_menu (); ?> but if I want to have a dropdown menu there is no dropdown menu. The pages will displayed  among each other like "ul li". I do not know how to realize this to a dropdown button, can you explain this to me / advise me?

Hello, any information on this? I am creating a WP theme with MDBootstrap but the class MDB uses are different than those WP is using, resulting in an unstyled menu when wanting to create a dynamic menu within WP. Should this be implemented using a walker? Is there any link on how to create a dynamic WP menu with MDBootstrap?

Thank you!

Hi,

Using a nav walker would be a good idea here, but as this implementation is more related to the WordPress itself rather than MDB components, we cannot provide you with any ready-to-use solution or a tutorial.

Keep coding, Marcin
