I've found out that an anchor tag inside an undorderd list with the class "navbar-nav" gets automatically the class . waves-effect .waves-light applied. If I turn javascript off, it doensn't.

However, is it possible to disable this "feature"?

It destroyes my design on mobile.

Here is an example of how it will get reproduced:
