Topic: Using SASS files to customize MDB

ajching free asked 7 years ago

I was interested in modifying the MDB CSS code via the SASS files but I don\'t quite understand what to do with them. Do I need to compile all the scss files into css files and then include them in html file? Was wondering if anyone could explain how this works.

Hi, Sass file helps in the development of big CSS styles, they add variables, loops, and mixins, all of them are helpful but any of browser doesn't know how to interpret sass file. After you modify sass file you must convert it to CSS and add to your HTML.   When you develop you can use gulp with node-sass or webpack to do it for you when you developing. They can watch file and after saving it convert to CSS and reload your browser.   Regards

Thanks for the response! After I convert it and add it to my HTML, do I still include the usual MDB files or remove them (mdb.min.css, mdb.min.js)?
