A regular MDB package is our first product and it's based on standard Twitter Bootstrap package. It contains a lot of custom code, but some of our components use Bootstrap's JavaScript code

Then, we've created MDB for Angular, React and Vue which is a port of our primary product (MDB jQuery) to these technologies. We only took the styles from MDB jQuery and then we recreated all these things that we've done in MDB jQuery (and these that were created earlier by Bootstrap) for the other technologies such as Vue.

Answering your question: if you're going to create a Vue-based project, please use MDB Vue package as it's recommended to be used with Vue
