Topic: MDB tries to override most of bootstrap's css

stacey.cielia.lynn pro asked 8 years ago

In trying to use MDB in my project, it seems to have taken to almost re-defining everything that bootstrap sets up; for example, the navbar css. Is there a particular set of the scss files I can safely delete to keep just the behavior-required styles? I'm using bootstrap because its existing css fit my project - I really don't want mdb overriding all of the basic fundamentals.

Hi Stacey, that was always the goal of MDB - to improve Bootstrap and change it into Material Design, in the same time to keep most useful bootstrap functionalities. However, MDB has a modular structure, so take a look at file sass/mdb.scss and remove from the list the component you don't want to use. Then compile it to new css file.
