Topic: mdbootstrap npm package confusion
Aakash Banerjee priority asked 3 years ago
So quite sometime back I bought mdbootstrap and used it with npm install link : "ng-uikit-pro-standard": "git+https://oauth2:xxxxxxxxxxxx@git.mdbootstrap.com/mdb/angular/ng-uikit-pro-standard.git".
It worked well. When I see some of the new products the package names are different like
mdb-ui-kit mdb-ui-kit-pro-essential and others.
What do the names mean in terms of features is not very readily evident.
My question is the product I bought is that only for Bootstrap 4 or 5 as well? Am I missing out on any features by using the ng-uikit-pro-standard, should I continue using this or move to the newer bootstrap 5 offerings?
Thanks for your help.

The ng-uikit-pro-standard
library is a pro version of MDB Angular 4 (based on Bootstrap 4 styles). MDB Angular 5 is a completely new product that uses Bootstrap 5 and mdb-angular-ui-kit
and mdb-angular-ui-kit-pro-essential
are respectively free and pro versions of MDB Angular 5 (the mdb-ui-kit
you mentioned is designed to be used in pure Javascript apps built without frontend frameworks).
