Topic: mdb-select issue
The example here:

Does not look the same when rendered with the MDB Angular Pro. I don't know how it was able to show the "label" as the placeholder when the placeholder is there. Can you please provide the HTML for the Angular on that page, as it doesn't seem the code example is correct.

I'm afraid, that I don't understand your problem.
The first example (live example) has a label which is not active (so it looks like a placeholder). But in code, there's also added a placeholder for this select.
If you'll remove the placeholder, those examples (live and angular) will be the same.
