Topic: Don't want Waves and Ripple effect
Why the tabs used on Angular have the Waves Ripple effect? and the ones used on the example doesn't have this effect.

I want to used the tabs without that effect but I'm getting the class waves-effect and waves-ripple added dinamically and I don't want to edit the node_modules folder.

Feature to turn off adding waves effect will be added with the next version of MDB Angular.

As you have already noticed, in tabs the waves effect is added directly in the component and unfortunately currently there is no easy way to disable it. We will add such functionality in the future.
