Dear mdb2,

Your request is a feature request, so it has a lower priority than bug fix request.

Still, there is no progress on your request. Please be patient.

Best Regards,

Damian

Any news regarding back button ?

Arkadiusz Idzikowski staff answered 6 years ago

Dear mdb2, I understand where is the problem with back button, but like Damian previously mentioned, our navigation components doesn't have built-in feature that allow to add such functionality. For now the only solution is to add the extra button to the top navigation and add the appropriate method to it. Regards, Arek

Check http://ng-admin-pro.mdbootstrap.com/dashboards/v1 on a mobile device or chrome as a mobile device. How can a user that clicked e.g. Basic -> Forms from the menu can go back to his previous view if there is no browser back button nor a physical back button.

Dear mdb2, Please provide some example code so we can debug this problem with collision. Maybe we will be able to give you a better solution for that case. Regards, Arek

Hi Arek.

I don't understand what example code can help with this styling issue ?

Arkadiusz Idzikowski staff commented 6 years ago

Maybe we will be able to help with those issues if we know what is the exact problem.

I know it is my responsibility yet it is a styling issue and a component that is needed in a topnav as part of any iOS device As a developer of a web app that should also runs on iOS devices, a solution for back navigation is required so I asked if you have any experience with it or perhaps you know what other developers are using.   Should I just add a back arrow fa icon to the top nav manually (that will collide with menu open/close icon) or perhaps you have a better solution ?

Dear mdb2, MDB Angular is not a framework for using only on Android / iOS devices, but it's made especially for use on web apps / web sites. Because of that, our component's haven't got features which exist only in native devices like back button for iOS. You are a developer of your application, so it's your responsibility to add proper features which are different on native devices. Best Regards, Damian

On an android mobile device use can click the hardware back button on the device to navigate back to the previous state. In iOS there is no such button so usually a software back button appears in the top nav area. https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/ios/bars/navigation-bars/
