Topic: Angular Date Picker inline isn't Working on IE11.

Angular Date Picker inline isn't Working on IE11. Very easy to reproduce. Just run the sample code from inline date picker example on IE11. Expected behavior Date picker is available when the input field is clicked. Date can be selected. Actual behavior Date picker drop down doesn't show when input is clicked. Date cannot be selected. Resources (screenshots, code snippets etc.) I cannot attach code snippet at the moment, but as I said it's very simple to reproduce.

Thank you for letting us know about this problem, we will take a closer look at that. We don't officialy support IE, but of course we will add necessary changes (as long as they won't break anything on other, modern browsers).

We tried to reproduce this problem on our end but without success. However, we found some issues with the inline datepicker styles on IE11 and we will fix them in next version of MDB Angular (which should be relased next week).

Please update your post with the details that can help us to reproduce this problem. Also please check if there are any errors in console when you try to render/use the component.

Did you try to reproduce this using version 7.5.4?

Arkadiusz Idzikowski staff commented 5 years ago

Sorry, I didn't notice that you use 7.5.4 before. It looks like there is some kind of bug and the dropdown is closed automatically because of the document click listener. Could you upgrade version of MDB Angular in your project?

To upgrade to next version, which is 8.x isn't easy because we'll then also need to upgrade to Angular 8, which is going to take some time.

If there's a workaround we could apply for this issue with 7.5.4 that'd be great. If no other workaround is available but this issue is fixed in the current version of MDBootstrap, then we just need to look into using some other date picker until we upgrade.

Thanks.

We will try to find a workaround for this problem, but I'm afraid that it might be impossible to fix that without making many changes in the internal code of the component.
