Topic: Angular Bootstrap select show animation is not the same on api

tattoodxb free asked 6 years ago

the show animation of the select options starts on the middle and animations to top:42px;
However when i compared on demo on your website the ul.dropdown-content is always top:0;

here is a video i captured of how it shows up.

additional info: it is cause by the inline css that is being set to <div class="dropdown-content ng-trigger ng-trigger-dropdownAnimation"></div> dynamically when the select options are shown.

where on the demo website it is always top:0, however on mine its top:42px;

We are sorry to hear that you encountered problems using our product.

We do everything to make the appearance of our components as similiar as possible in different versions of javascript frameworks. The select animation in Angular version was slightly changed due to the way in which you can remove selected option. You are absolutely right that there should be no differences between the documentation and actual appearance, and this problem will be fixed as soon as possible (probably in one of the versions released this month). We apologize for the inconvenience.

We have prepared a demo app in which you can test the functionality of MDB Angular components: https://ng-demo.mdbootstrap.com/

Regards,

Arek

Same as @tattoodxb, I'm really disappointed to see these features working well and smooth on the docs, then discovering so many bugs, ugly animations, or limited customization after we bought the product.

If the docs shows the real product, with a roadmap for the missing features, it could be fine, but here you plainly lie, showing the jQuery product for selling an Angular product. And it looks like on purpose, because the select component is not present on https://ng-admin-pro.mdbootstrap.com

Every day I discover something. It's really annoying. You said you will fix it in the future, but we don't know when. Meanwhile, you get the time to create new "plugins", sold at 9$. Looks like these bugs/customers are not your priority, money is.

I like this framework, but I feel like I've been ripped off.

I still hope it will get better in the future, but as it stands now, I won't renew my purchase for my next projects.

Dear @tattoodxb

I am very sorry that you do not work well with our product.

However, you need to understand that we work in task mode - our tasks are written a few weeks in advance and the development plan is tight and it is hard to squeeze in something that is not a critical bug. In the case of Select's animation, this is not a critical problem, because the animation runs smoothly and there are no problems with it.

If we say that we will fix a problem, it will be so. You just have to be patient, because we can't tell you right away when the fix enters the production version.

Best Regards,

Damian

Dear @tattoodxb

Thanks for your report. We know about this situation.

It is caused by this, that our docs present a jQuery version of our components. There is a slightly different animation.

But we'll take a look at this problem, and we'll change it in the future.

Best Regards,

Damian

I have been getting the same response every time i face a issue or bug, saying that:

Thanks for your report. We know about this situation.

and

But we'll take a look at this problem, and we'll change it in the future.

I really wish  that we should have known or been warned that your product is buggy and is very limited on customization before we bought it and use it in our project. Its becoming difficult now complying to our project requirements with all these sit backs we are facing.

When you say "we'll change it in the future" how long do you define future? a couple of days? a week? a month? or couple of months? So at least we will know if we can depend on your support or we'll need to find our own work around on issues we face...
